woul like to invite everyone to TADTAD XI Tattoo Competition

MECHANICS

1. Open to all Tattoo Artists.

2. 1 day Competition

3. Entries must measure not less than 5" x 5"

4. Artists must finish entry within 6 hours, They will not be allowed to continue after the alloted time.

CATEGORIES

OPEN: Black and Gray, Colored (Artists can only join one category)

BEGINNER: Any form design or color combination

CRITERIA for JUDGING

Scoring will be done on a 1-10 scale, base on the overall appearance of tattoo. When applicable; Originality, Lines, Coloring, Shading, Overall Design, Flow and Movement of the Tattoo will be considered for scoring. In the event of a tie between tattoos, they will be re-judged.

INKTRADA Tacloban Tattoo Convention 2011

Off from work just to join the tattoo competition, we arrived at Tacloban's astrodome past 11:00 am which was too early for the 2pm-7pm designated time for the compe. I felt very relax at the venue since the dome is located near the sea. The convention was my second time I have attended as an exposure to the industry where my craftsmanship belong. A passion in which I can freely express myself. In a given of 5 hours, most of us completed each piece of design within 3-4 hours. The category of the competition was Black and Grey with a minimum dimensions of 5" x 8". This is my second portrait tattoo done in my year of tattooing.

Portrait and Yin Yang Tattoo

John Lennon

This tattoo was done during the tattoo competition held in CAP auditorium in Jones Ave., Cebu City. My first competition and first portrait tattoo attempt in the Beginner's category. A John Lennon tattoo which I think the reference is not his familiar photo that somehow many saw it like an old Harry Potter. Yet, the result in his skin is not that bad though and I love the washes of witch hazel. Just a few sessions for a portrait and I know, someday, I can make it better.

Yin Yang

A yin yang tattoo of a common friend symbolizing the life (woman) and death (skeleton with a scythe).

•Allotted working time will be 5 (five) hours.
(Tattoo should be finished on or before the allocated time. Artist will not be allowed to continue when time expires.)
•Tattoo Artists competing under this category are required to bring their own model, additional lighting lamp, extension wires, tattoo equipments, etc.
